Lying shows fear towards man, than fear towards GOD. (Lessons on Faith)
All the thoughts that can run through the mind as a result of, in this case, seeing the consequences of telling the truth, and therefore end up choosing to lie (To protect self most of the time)
GOD loves us and therefore He tells us the truth.
John 8:44 - (You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.)
Lying goes deeper than uttering false information. We can take on the name of the LORD, and thus profess to be Christians, but then not live according to “It is written”- which is the source of truth (the Bible is written of CHRIST, who is the Way, the truth, and the life) Hebrews 10:7, John 14:6
Infact CHRIST says in 1 John 2:4-
He who says he knows me and keeps not my commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
What do we reap from lying? if not surrendered to the LORD to change the heart before He returns or before our last breath?
The sure result is to not inherit the Kingdom of GOD. - Revelation 21:8, Rev 22:15, Psalm 5:6, Proverbs 19:9
Lets choose to live according to what sayeth the LORD, who is the only source of truth. By abiding in Him moment by moment we can bear true witness moment by moment as life continues ( John 15:5)
Ephesians 4:22-25
The Commandments of GOD are sacred, true, protective, and freeing. Hope you have a wonderful Sabbath- the wonderful 4th commandment of rest in CHRIST, and from our weekly labors🙏

This is a good, powerful and straightforward read. We are liars and lost to see it. Until we fully surrender to accept the truth and way of life of our Creator, and the grace of God cleanse us.
